Located in New York City`s Financial District, an established business media and publishing company is immediately seeking a LAMP / PHP developer to join its expanding team and be a part of a major 2010 program to launch new websites. The programmer will join the diverse digital services group consisting of LAMP / Drupal developers along with a Linux system administrator and a MySQL DBA to create and optimize high-traffic websites, well-known and respected in the business and financial world.
What you should bring to the job:
*3+ years of server side programming experience, most recently in a LAMP environment using PHP 5.0+
*HTML (or XHTML, DHTML), XML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery, DoJo, Scriptaculous)
*Drupal is very desirable, but the they`ll also consider candidates who`re interested in learning
*some third-party API / integration experience (with RSS, JSON) is preferred as there is work to be done with various social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
*experience with back end concepts, writing SQL queries, tables, MySQL
